Kyle joined our team in 2018, and has been in the industry much of his adult life. His family some years back even owned a car lot of their own! When he’s not helping you and the Sales Team make deals happen, you’ll find (but only by badgering him like we did until he caves!) that he’s somewhat of a cool cat outside of work… He actually loves ‘Rockabilly’ and often performs as a Sonny Fisher lookalike.
Mark joined the team in 2021, bringing a vast wealth of knowledge, dealership management experience, inspiration and processes to this award-winning Round Rock Honda facility helping all of the Sales Team and you, our Customer have, we feel, the best experience possible when visiting us. Away from work, when he can, he puts his body through triathlon trials, his mind through some chess trials, and his palate through some gastronomy trials – which he says the latter always tends to put him back to needing to work out again – rinse and repeat so to speak!
Macy is in charge of our fabulous, state of the art Honda Service Center – a person who you’ll find is always happy to serve and assist. She has a ton of experience in this field and, quite frankly, it shows! Macy’s secret passion is kite flying (although not much of a secret any more!), and is able to tie a knot in a piece of string without using her hands! (We were amazed too).
Every member of our team plays a vital role in keeping things moving smoothly… and while you’ll rarely see Brad, let alone hear him (he’s tucked away in the parts department), he ensures his years of experience flow through him into making for a quietly efficient operation – from the smallest washer to new dashboard, wheel locks to a wiring harness or spare key fob – Brad keeps tabs on it all! Outside of work, his love for roasting coffee is rather impressive. His ‘Vietnamese Sweet Tar’ and his ‘Guatemalan Heat’ roasts are his fave!
Art has been in the automotive business since the late 2000’s and has been with Round Rock Honda since 2013. Prior to this, he was living in Honolulu Hawaii as an Area Sales Manager for a national mortgage lender. Art has been happily married to Jen since 1997 and they have 3 beautiful children. Art is a sports fanatic and is amazing with statistics. During his down-time, he takes his love for sports to new heights as he’s an avid BASE jumper would you believe, having jumped off of a number of unusual platforms to first free-fall; then land with his parachute. He’s Round Rock Honda’s answer to Bat-Man.
Yamile has been in the automotive industry since 2010 and loves everything that has to do with cars. She started out as a product specialist, moved to a sales consultant, went into our business and finance office and is now our Sales Manager. Yamile is married since 2012 and between them they have two beautiful children and one dog. When not working or spending time around cars, Yamile likes to spend time with her family, working out at the gym, or you might even catch her inline skating.
Vihn came, left and… came back! He realized that working at any other Honda dealership in the central Texas area just wasn’t the same as working here. Yes, he saw the light!!! Outside of work Vinh is an avid cyclist (off-road) and takes part in as many competitions as he possibly can. He also loves extremely hot, spicy food and is one heck of a cook. Be sure to ask him for a sample of his famous rib rack.
There’s not much Shannon can’t do and if there is something we haven’t found it yet. Shannon has multiple duties here at Round Rock Honda and does them all exceptionally well. Shannon is originally from Canada but has been in the USA for 10 years. She is happily married and has two dogs. Shannon is exceptional at crafting but her biggest passion is ‘Competitive Dog Grooming’.
Buddy has been in the car business since the late 90’s. Multiple Honda COSL award winner. He’s happily married and has been for ever, and has 2 grown boys who live in the area too. Buddy lives out in the country on 10 acres and loves the “country life”. He’s got 2 rescue dogs, Blue and Maggie. His hobbies include: Fighting off bears, Photography, Mountain Biking and Cooking…. Don’t forget to ask him about his world famous, award winning Paella.
Lee is originally from Dallas and moved to the Austin area back in the 80’s. Another Honda COSL awarded employee too. Lee started in the car business in the mid 90’s and joined Round Rock Honda in 2010. Lee’s motivated to say, “to help find you the right car-and in doing so, to make it as easy as possible.” Lee has a son and daughter who he’s very proud of and a gerbil called John.
Trish has been working in customer service since the mid 80’s. A multiple Gold Honda COSL winner, Trish takes pride in giving excellent service to all her guests. She’s been a recipient of the prestigious Honda Council of Sales Leadership award every year to-date since joining Round Rock Honda. Trish loves helping her guests get the vehicle they want with a payment that fits their budget and needs. She’s married to her husband Scott since the mid 90’s and has 4 children – and is now a Grandmother! Trish says, “I hope to serve you real soon”.
Where do we to start with Joe… From Michigan, via the world to us here in Round Rock. We just wished he’d gotten here sooner! He loves his truck, and outside of work, we swear if he wasn’t in this industry he’d be treading grapes and making his own wine – and not any normal kinda wine, we’re talking the finest, sweetest and most aromatic of wines. He’d have it no other way. Joe will look after you with biggest of smiles, and a bigger heart. What more could you ask for with your next vehicle purchase! Joe heads-up our ‘Trade-In / Trade-Up’ vehicle program.
A dealership without a Cornelius is just lacking in every degree! Corn is part of our Internet Sales Team and is perhaps one of the most sincere, fun loving guys you’re likely to meet. If he’s not clapping, he’s smiling! You should really watch our “Welcome” video on our YouTube channel to observe Corn’s great smile. He secretly wants to audition for Big Brother and is currently studying Kajukenbo…. So watch out!!
Joshua joined the team here in the early part of 2018. He’s now firmly planted in central Texas having grown-up in Indiana. He tried out for the Pacers in his teens interestingly, but realized that he had a calling for helping people get the car they needed instead. In his spare time he also enjoys synchronized trampolining and has won several competitions to-date under the name ‘big bouncer’.
Who’d have thought this tech-guru would turn, becoming a great success at looking after you and people just like you with their new or new-to-them vehicle… That’s exactly what Naz did! Naz is also the recipient of Honda’s COSL award too. Naz was born in Bangladesh, lived in Belgium for a while and has eventually made Texas his home. Outside of work, Naz enjoys a good game of poker, and on Sundays can be found playing the role of ‘Bar Keep’ in a Wild West Re-Enactment show.
Ron joined us in December 2015, and has been awarded Honda’s COSL multiple times since. He’s a guy who will make the time you need to work with you all the way through the car buying process at your pace. He’s softly spoken, mild mannered and is rather handy in the garden too so we’re informed! Outside of work, he loves rolling his sleeves up and getting stuck in to projects and was once crowned ‘Giant Jenga Champion, AK’.
Who’dat? Hudec! Dustin Hudec to be precise. He’s one of those softly spoken, gentle giants (he’s not quite a giant though, yet!), and loves to help do exactly what we ask of all our consultants – help you find the right car that works for you. Sounds simple, but so many dealerships miss the mark. Outside of work, he loves to grill, is quite a dab-hand at making kolaches (the fruity ones), and is forever going on about his love for one day being on Master Chef – the one that bakes those awesome cakes.
Ed has been in the car industry most of his adult lift and is a true Austinite! He’s a fabulous guy, ready to go to bat for you on the vehicle you need. When you arrive, Ed also goes by the name ‘Magoo’ (as in Mister Magoo), so don’t be overly surprised if you hear that nickname crop up now and again! Outside of work, Ed loves to read and practice yoga.
Ulises speaks Spanish and English and moved here from the East coast in 2017. At his interview he said that he’d love to be of great service to everyone he engages with and as a result, be able to look after his family… The good news is – he continues to achieve both his goals! Uli has a great personality and is an experienced snorkeling instructor and former pearl diver.
Ben started at the same time as Gerry in 2021… and you can probably guess the number of times we referenced a certain brand of ice-cream right? Too many times… Ben came to us from another dealership and has excelled in understanding customer needs and finding customer solutions here. Chilled, laid-back yet efficient and effective at getting the job done without any fuss is Ben. Outside of work he’s got a ton of varied interests, a couple of them being old British classic re-runs of ‘Miss Marple’ and US classic re-runs of the ‘Rockford Files’ with Jim and his Dad, Rocky! Ben says on Sunday afternoons he loves to prep his healthy eating regime for the week ahead, which includes mango, passion fruit and bananas.
Gerry is a self proclaimed fashionista – we had to look that up too, but apparently he’s a devoted follower of fashion… his ‘Round Rock Honda’ shirt did send him a little over the edge though for a short while; those synthetic fibers really got to him!!! He’s one of a number that come and join us with zero prior car industry experience, and just has a great understanding of people and is driven by seeing you happy. Gerry loves basketball – and he says “no I can’t dunk” – and also is fascinated by tail numbers on aircraft too, something he’s been doing since he was a kid. He’s got books and books of aircraft details, but now uses his tablet to log them all. Bless.
Alan says he has that ‘serious look’ about him but isn’t always that way – apparently it’s how his face rests!!! While he is indeed laser-focused, the wait for him to crack a smile isn’t a long one – and it’s well worth seeing! He’s one of those gentle, quiet types, easy to get along with, softly spoken, and dare we say a little cuddly too! Many of our team come here because they had poor experiences at other dealerships and felt that they could offer a lot more and raise the bar of customer care and service… Alan is one of those! He’s a great fit. Outside of work he plays the flugelhorn – not a single one of us guessed that one!
Maddie is a hoot! She’ll light up the room even if she doesn’t have a flash-light handy… lovely, bubbly, lively and energetic – she’s a real people pleaser and loves her go-faster car too. If you’re needing any sort of pick-me-up type of tonic, she’s the natural feel-good factor. When not at the dealership, she loves music, spins the ones and twos, and is quite the vocalist too with a Whitney Houston rendition that will blow the doors off.
John-Michael joined our team in the Spring of 2021, is originally from Oregon and has more recently been living in the local area. He decided a career change was needed and came to join the Penske Team here at Round Rock Honda. John-Michael shares his last name with Venezuelan race-car driver, Pastor… yet the fastest race car our John-Michael has been in was his winning Soapbox race car which he hurtled to victory in, back in 2018! He’s got a couple of scars apparently to prove it. He’s a fan of food, including Korean Soul Food and has a kicking dry rub recipe for brisket.
Terry has been with Round Rock Honda since 2000. Terry speaks fluent Vietnamese and he is most known for his smiling face and his regular greeting of “Happy Holiday!” – Terry believes every day is a holiday! He likes to travel & dine out and loves to play the Texas lotto, mega million and power ball… but is yet to win big! We all hope he remembers his friends at Round Rock Honda when he finally does.
Carl joined us in 2017, a then completely new face to the car industry and Round Rock Honda. He’s ready to help you with your next purchase. Before joining us, he was teaching in Killeen ISD for over 20 years. He enjoys outdoor cookouts, working in the yard or playing with his pets down at the lake. Carl’s favorite past time is hanging out with his family and nurturing and growing a YouTube channel that promotes skin care.
Roman is bilingual; fluent in Spanish and English, and ‘gets it’… He gets the need for attention to detail, listening and understanding and helping people, much like you, hopefully get what they’re looking for. Roman is a keen Bocce Ball player; there’s a place not far from the dealership that he says he can often be found practicing on – many times with a headband mounted flashlight apparently in the early hours of the morning! True commitment if you ask us!!! Maybe challenge him to a game if you get to work with him.
Earvin brings a bit of everything to the dealership – especially a love for cars – modding, racing and detailing them are all things he’s pretty fond of. Earvin joined the team towards the last quarter of 2018, coming from a completely non-related industry. He’s got a fondness for college football, some team known as ‘Alabama’ – we’re saying nothing! And when he not racing cars or selling, he’s got a serious flan recipe; deliciously moist and perfectly formed. He also raced pigeons too, his Racing Homer pigeon called Percy is a champion bird, having won several races over about 50 miles!
Ruth is another one of our bi-lingual team who speaks Spanish and English and is here to make you welcome and help get things done with the utmost of professionalism and efficiency. She’s one of our hand-picked ‘class of 2020’ and really brings Honda’s core values to life – ‘respect’, ‘joy’ and ‘passion’. Ruth’s very much at home alongside her miniature horses, and when she’s not playing ‘my little pony’, you’ll find she has this thing for glass blowing apparently, hence her rosy red cheeks. We’ve seen some of her creations – very impressive!
Wearing his invisible halo, (he’s never heard that before, promise!), Angel is like the patron-saint of car buyers… and fluent in Spanish too, he’s the epitome of what a great customer experience is all about. He’s into fitness and working out – again, like that doesn’t show in his picture at all right – but little known facts are that his wife has him into crocheting, a ‘his and hers’ Sunday evening thing apparently!
Shelby says she has typically heard it all before… that is if you’re a car enthusiast and associate Shelby with Mustangs and other related stuff! Shelby helps hold the sales team together with help from her fellow Sales Admin colleagues – she’s definitely got her work cut out (and we thank you Shelby!). We assured her there’d be no ‘horsing around’ here to ‘fuel’ her name association too… Outside of work, she loves the classic film ‘Karate Kid’ and also the recent make-over spin-off ‘Cobra Kai’; she’s also a dab hand at beer pong and loves to pogo on her pro pogo stick – apparently it’s still a thing!
Our cool calm and collected Eden joined us in the unseasonably cool summer of 2021! She’s quite the whizz with paperwork and keeping her eagle eye on the important details is one of those geeky things she gets a kick from – probably explains why she’s actually working towards being a Paralegal! Outside of work and her studies, and in what spare time she has left, she plays in a band – one with a ‘Folk-sie’ / Americana flavor apparently. She plays a mean washboard and spoons, and has the voice of an angel (her words not ours as we’ve heard her in the washroom!). Other than that she says she loves making traditional English ‘fry-up’ style breakfasts at weekends, but draws the line at black pudding and scrawny, skinny chipolatas.
Robbie has been the smiling face that greets customers at Round Rock Auto Group since 1998. She drives 50 miles to and from Burnet, Texas because she loves her job! Robbie also enjoys spending time with and spoiling her 4 grandchildren, great grandson, and 2 dogs Molly & Ce-Ce.
Eli has been with Round Rock Honda since 2011. Originally, he is from Brazil, lived there for many years, and still has many family members back home. He came to the United States because his daughter moved here and she told him about the many opportunities available. He has enjoyed experiencing a new culture and also a new language! Eli took part in the TV show ‘The Bachelor’ back in Brazil a staggering 3 times (we’re not entirely sure what happened!).
Sam has worked here for a significant number of years, having worked in many departments in the past, his experience and knowledge on the whole process is second to none. Outside of work, he’s a man on a mission – loves concert-going, staying active, eating somewhat healthy, and most surprisingly still has time to look after a butterfly sanctuary that he’s nurtured for several years now.
What a journey… from both a geographic and career perspective! Jason has a medal in both; he’s come a long way. He’s a Honda national award recipient for the ‘Council Of Sales Leadership’ and is one of our Finance team. Jason is married with two kids and lives locally, and yes – drives a Honda of course, two in-fact! Outside of work he considers himself a fisherman and back in his youth (despite his boyish looks – we’re not jealous really), his claim to fame at 16 years of age was winning an ice-skating dance-off in Washington State.
Amy is a great asset here at the dealership; before working in Finance she was part of our sales team – so truly understands both ends of the said stick! Amy loves going to Vegas when she can for a splurge and fun long weekend, she’s also got a bit of a crazy, death-defying past… make sure to ask her about her knife throwing days as a performer for a top Circus act. It’ll make your hairs stand on end!
Evan grew-up in the car industry as his Dad worked here some years back… Multiple Honda COSL awardee. Now it’s Evan’s turn. Evan is a caring soul with a passion for making your experience efficient and hassle-free. He’s an avid golfer and also loves experimenting by brewing different craft beers – his favorites so far that he’s produced have been ‘Big Spender’, ‘Whatta-Ride’ and ‘Curly Shirley’.
